When Maeve Maddox attended William Bernhardt’s Red Sneakers Writers’ Conference last August, her contest entry for the Flash Fiction category won First Place. The prize was publication in the literary magazine, Conclave.
The flash fiction piece, “Priorities,” appears in the Spring 2019 edition of the magazine.
Conclave is a print and eBook of writing and photography. According to the site, it publishes “poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction of exceptional literary merit.” It seeks work “about the mystery of being [that] heightens the reader’s sense of the majesty underlying the fabric of our daily lives.”
As a result of winning the contest, Maeve was asked to judge the 2018 flash fiction contest sponsored by the Tulsa Nightwriters.
Writers interested in submitting work to Conclave will find guidelines here. Editors are interested in all genres.
Conclave is available for purchase on Amazon.
